Future Aspiration

This morning we had some speakers, Our future inspiration. There were some truly moving stories. The first speaker was introduced (Mr Anthony Samuels). He was on the New Zealand famous program 'What Now'. He started as an actor on this program and he would be on 8am to 11am. He was a pretty funny actor. He told us 1 phrase and 1 key. The phrase was 'TO MIHARO HOKI' that means you or someone is amazing. He also said: 'Don't let the past determine your future'. This was the key.

The most moving story was from a man named Pola. He told us that he was the best at swimming when he was a child. But he really wasn’t because he told us that when he got tired he would just stand up in the water and pretend that he was swimming. He said he was tall when he was in intermediate. That's why he could do that. He told us has anyone of their class laughed at you before some of us said yes. This part was moving he said he went to a competition and a different school and they had a pool.

He was waiting for them to clap these woods together so he can start. Then it clapped  he was swimming and swimming then when he came half-way everybody started to get tired he was too. So he tried to pretend he was swimming he tried to touch the ground but as he noticed it was to deep. So he started doing this style could drowning. So the lifeguard jumped in and pulled him out he started to push his chest and everyone was quiet. He spat out a ton of water and went back to his team everyone was laughing at him it was like a whole school that was sad. But that didn’t stop him from swimming when he was older.

Other speakers were Andrew Patterson (Radio DJ), Amelia and a young boy called Iavana.

Athletics 2014

“It’s was a great day for athletics”

3rd of nov was the day we And we had athletics. Helping to set it up was a challenge. There was shot put, high jump, Discus, 75 and 100 meter sprints, javelin, sack race, tug of war, softball throw and last of all hurdles.

The first sport was discus Miss’s Nua said we had to line up in to 2 lines noncompetitive and the competitive line. noncompetitive was my line i am not that sporty. None of us hardly tried till Miss Tito said she would give us an ice cream.

Javelin was the hardest trying to get it in the ground. I didn't even get a spot i tried my hardest. But still there are other sports i could try in. The main one i was focusing on was high jump coming in a place in that would be spectacular.

Year 8 Camp

Packed my bags and ready to go!

Got to the school and got put in our teams. Waiting for the prey and then we are on our way. We loaded our bags on the bus and we took of nothing to do on the bus but eat lollies even Mrs Nua had some but she said if you litter you have to pick up all the rubbish.

arriving at a beach was alright until we were to we would have to walk the rest of the way we had to walk threw a rive put our shoes on keep on walking. Muddy as patches my shoes felt heavy as but the view was spectacular. We were facing a beach and the water looked amazing i felt like swimming in it. but there were these massive rocks that almost looked like giant bark. it was like a maze but as soon as you know it we found our way out we were sitting on grass and had our morning tea ‘’FINALLY’’ i said. We all had a drink of water and the walked down to the beach we all had a play a rest and my mate Frankie was doing forward flips on the sand. So we hoped back on the bus and went to the camp site.

as soon as we arrived the whole place looked lonely the sand volley ball it looked like hardly anyone stepped on it. There was only one or two people one of there names were Michael. He showed us around he showed us the boys cabins the confidence course, water slide and flying fox when he showed us the water slide he said there was a lot of incidents. when I saw the flying fox i said “damn thats high”. It looked terrifying from the bottom.

day bye day sort of got boring but! I still enjoyed it the last day was the best going to Waiwera. Straight away almost everyone charged for the water slides, there were only too there was three but the other wan was closed because it was too dangerous. Each slide was given a name one was called the bullet(because you go super fast) one was called the twists(because they twist) The closed one was called black hole(thats cause you can't see).

I went on the slides like four times the I decided to relax in the movie pool.I did not like the movie, It was planes  its like a childish movie so i just sat down in the pool, Its 43˚c.But the lava pool was the hottest it is 48˚c you have to be very quiet in that pool. When we left everybody at the camp did not want to go back to school.

Arriving back to school everybody was lazy and floppy. We unpacked did our prey and ready to go, Just In time for Halloween.

Why is it important to come to school?

Why is it important to come to school?

Attending school is very important. One of the reasons is so you could learn. If you can't learn then you won't get anywhere in the future. How are you going to get a job? School is important for everyone if you don';t go school means you're disadvantaged in the future.

Knowledge is one of the things a kid is needed schools can do that if you don't know how to write we have books so you can learn if you don't know how to read the teachers can teach you how to read. If you don't know any math we know some site online some can even show you how to draw.

You would be able to have a very good future if you even need help there are always teachers but if the teachers a busy you could ask a mate or a friend.

Tattoo Design

Skeleton: I drawed the skeleton because i really like the style.

Lion: The reason I drawed this because is that the lion represents fare.

Rules Are Important

What would it be like without rules.

Rules are the most important things that should be remembered, so it can keep you alive so you don't do the wrong thing. At school there are rules like don't touch the teachers stuff unless you have permission or maybe not throwing things around the class. Especially no fights if there were a fight there would be a lot of consequences.

If there were no rules there would be a lot of destruction like swearing, fights, thefts, there would be tons of violence people may even get killed. All of these rules would have been ignored.

Respect helps if you tell someone to do something like turn of a computer thats respect. Not talking when the teacher is thats respect. Helping one another is respectful doing favours is respectful lots of thing is respectful.

Term 4

Every term an immersion assembly is held just at the start. We have been doing this since I think this school was made. We also did this to show what our topic is. Our topic is ART ATTACK. When we went to assembly I saw art playing on the projector. It was amazing people were doing art on the computer it looks realistic.

The items started to explain what our topic was going to be about. It was team 1’s turn to explain what they are doing. I can't remember most of it but they did say they would be going down a river, I think having a picnic thats all that I could remember.

I could’nt remember any of them except team 5 theres was the best they started to paint upside down no one knew what was. What but I started to see someones face upside down. There were three paintings as soon as the flipped it they had painted Mr Jacobson,Mrs Jarman and Mr Burt.

That was the best immersion assembly if I could remember the rest I would tell you.
