Dear Ms Erick

Thank You Ms Erick. It was a pleasure having you as we needed your help. It was important because if we didn't have you we wouldn't be going to the picnic.

At the picnic there was lots of sports there for all students there, There was softball set up. The umpire was Mr Somerville there are four bases 1st, 2nd, 3rd and home and one for the pitcher. But the sport that most of the year 8 boys went to was held.  My favourite part of the day was when everybody went swimming and all I did was relax in the sun have a rest and listen to some music. I could just watch every bombing, jumping of and diving.

It was so fun. But next year I wont be here Because I'm going college. Its been a fantastic time, the last picnic for all the year 8 students. I wish I could stay here A little longer, But unfortunately I would be to old.

Tiaki Tounga

Can you guess what day it is.....! Its...... Valentine's day? In Assembly We were all about tiaki tounga caring for our people and even if they are new.We have to look after them if their lonely show them around. Also today is about caring thats why Mr burt play a song that sounded like this I love you you love me and so on. The hip hop group I liked them most of the are prefix dancing on the top of mount wellington is what they did that had to be fun.

Mrs m, brought some performers They danced in Samoan. they gave us some tips from some of their dancing They danced good, But What I wanted to here was the softball team who made it but the didn’t show it. I like the the video at the end it was a little funny but I didn’t know which class wrote that.

What Does Empathy Mean

Empathy means caring for one another and feeling what others feel. Empathy is knowing how someone feels also sharing your emotions and how you feel. Then You can understand how they feel if it’s not happy angry anything even if they are injured.

Empathy is about experiencing what someone is going through. Worrying for someone if you think they shouldn't do that because you're scared. Or if the thing they do is dangerous and if they are hurt you could worry for them because they might feel pain.Just know that other people can see what you see.

What are 3ps?

What are the 3ps? Protection, partnership ,participation! Protection, looking after one another protecting your gear. Safety try to look after yourself, caring for one another and looking after your parent. Defence protect yourself.

Partnership Being together meeting the teacher,Home school partnership, Being the team leader. Team work ,Community, co-operation working together. Everybody joining together having a chat with each other.

Participation joining in play with your friend your family anyone. Give things a go if you haven't done it before the just give it a try. Joining sports volunteering for thing even though sometimes you don't want too.

Reflection at Pt England

This year..... It’s been the best so far. Better then every year i've spent at pt england school.

what I liked the most is when we go to maori it helps me to learn some te reo and some waiata. I can remember all the good times with my mates, how we got in trouble and when we play. the meetings we have in the hall is when we sing a wiata. It’s the same every day what i liked was my teacher ms squires she is the best teacher I have had so far. Plus she gives us fun activities to do.

I enjoyed going to tech it was fun the first time I went I was pretty much shie. But then I started to get the hang of it. My most favourite tech thing we did there was hard material. you make things like nucleus things with wood and glass.

I also like the way our teachers treat us, so what miss squires does is she tries to stop us from being dodgy. It’s fun having a teacher like miss squires she encourages me to do my work it helps me to learn faster. I have to finish my work so I don’t stay in at lunch time.

Action World

Action world The funnest place that i’ve been to. Better then rainbows end. It’s manly like a circus. The most exciting thing you can possibly go on is the trap eze, But I like the high wire oh i forgot I didn't tell you all the rides. There is high wire,trapeze,crazy ladder,free climb wall,jungle swings,the jump and thats all i know. You now that the pads that you land on is just like a bouncy castle your have a look at the site.

My Reflection Being a Year 7

This year being a year 7 it’s helped me a lot. Miss Squires helped me to learn more strategies in maths not just one strategy. She helped me to not be bad in class because if you do that you won't probably get anywhere when you grow up. So if you wanted to be good you would have to finish your work of properly then it will be easy for you to get a job when you grow up. Try to be good instead of being bad. What I learnt for myself in class was not to do the wrong thing in class(dodgy) it’s bad. Just like me I was dodgy but I gave it up so I can be good so I can do the best I can.

 Writing is what Miss Squires helped me with a lot. One new thing I learnt was this new site called flocabulary I didn’t know how to use , flocabulary it helps you to make raps . I also learnt a lot about Filming different types of shots and different ways to animate. learning how to paint in creative strand it was fun cutting was painting with a small brush in little places.

 My netbook helped me to write better at school instead of using pencil and paper. Thats to hard for me. Me and my reading buddies help each other on one document so they would finish their work faster and plus they would get help. We also do math on math whizz it’s a site that gives you the knowledge to learn. As well as xtramath it takes you through all your basic facts. It can take you straight to your documents instead of finding a paper and pencil.
